It's Thinking
By the beginning of 1998, Sega was in full development of its next generation system. Everything was riding on it if Sega was ever going to be able to reclaim its place as a hardware contender. Dreamcast was slated to be a true revolution with the potential to truly usher in the next generation of gaming. Our mission was to reposition Sega as the undisputed leader in gaming, capture a 50% share of the next generation gaming market by the end of calendar year 2000, establish a foundation from which to fight against the next generation Sony and Nintendo systems, and ultimately drive sales of 1.5 million units with a 5:1 software tie ratio by March 2000.

In Your Home Campaign
Sonics players drop by the homes of real people in the "The Sonics Coming To Your Home" campaign. This Publisher's Clearinghouse-style campaign promoted a link between Sonics players and the Seattle community while announcing that the Sonics would be on 56 games of free TV. Sam Perkins dropped in on a family dinner, Gary Payton visited a retirement home, Hersey Hawkins by an 8-yearold twins' birthday party, Nate McMillan joined a Tupperware party, Vin Baker went on board a couples' boat home, and Coach George Karl partied at a frat house.

'98 Braves
In February 1998, Fitzgerald & Company launched a multimedia campaign to show Atlanta that the Atlanta Braves were still a franchise committed not just to winning, but to fun. A perceived lack of spirit and excitement by the players on the field left many fans uninspired and frustrated, while staving off an anticipated decrease in ticket sales.
