​Vineet Mehra Named Chair of Effie Worldwide Board of Directors

We are pleased to announce Vineet Mehra, Global CMO of Walgreens-Boots Alliance, as Effie Worldwide Board Chair. Vineet will work with Effie’s Board and leadership to build on its mission to lead, inspire and champion the practice and practitioners of marketing effectiveness globally.

Recipients of the 5 for 50 Effie Awards Revealed

In recognition of Effie's 50th Anniversary, the 5 for 50 Award was presented to the five most enduring effective and inspirational brands globally that have most effectively adapted, stayed relevant and sustained business success over the past half century.

The recipients are Apple, Dove, IBM, Mastercard and Nike.

The winners were announced and celebrated at the 50th Annual Effie Awards Gala on May 30 in NYC.

2019 Effie Awards U.S. Winners Announced at 50th Annual Effie Gala

Winners of the 2019 Effie Awards U.S. competition were celebrated at the 50th Annual Effie Gala on May 30 at Cipriani 42nd St in NYC.

The Grand Effie was presented to Procter & Gamble and Saatchi & Saatchi New York, along with contributors Hearts & Science, Taylor Strategy, MKTG and MMC for “It’s a Tide Ad.”

2019 Effie Index Announced

Effie has announced the results of the 2019 Effie Index, which annually ranks the companies behind the most effective marketing communications ideas worldwide. 
This year’s rankings were determined by the cumulative success of 46 national, regional and multi-national Effie Awards competitions from 2018, encompassing 3,753 worldwide Effie winners and finalists announced between January 1, 2018 and December 31, 2018.

Entries are now being accepted for the 2019 Effie Awards Europe competition.
The final deadline for most categories was May 24 - the Positive Change, Marketing & Business Solutions and Best of the Best categories run on an extended timeline through July 31.
