In KSA, approximately 10% of the population have some form of disability, and social awareness and understanding of persons with disabilities is lacking amongst the general population leading them to feel some sense of social exclusion from society. Mobily, one of Saudi’s biggest telco brands, wanted to connect with the Kingdom during National Day to promoting a message of social inclusion. The #EveryonesKingdom initiative sparked a conversation to drive a change in societal stereotypes towards people with disabilities, as well as empowering those with disabilities to explore their potential.

The World of the Internet
The internet, today, isn’t a happy place, because of how people use it. So, in Ramadan, Ooredoo, a telecom brand that stands for “Enjoy the internet”, didn’t do a typical Ramadan campaign or promotion or celeb-driven ad, to improve its perception with youth across Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Tunisia, and Algeria. Instead, through a distinctive idea, we reminded youth that the ability to make the internet a better place was up to them, and how they used the internet. And we impacted youth positively along with Ooredoo’s brand and business too.

Stories of Mecca
During COVID-19, with travel halted how could Almosafer (a relatively smaller follower brand with low budgets) stay top-of-mind in Ramadan? With Mecca locked down there existed a heightened sense of “ummah” (metaphysical unity) accompanied by love and longing for Mecca. We created, “Stories of Mecca”: If people around the world couldn’t travel to Mecca their stories of Mecca could travel the world. With just $4000, we tapped into people’s memory libraries crowdsourcing stories of Mecca, worldwide and created a moving vertical story.
