With 85% of adults checking their phone at least once while dining out, family meals have become more about texting and browsing than real connection. So on the restaurant industry's busiest day of the year, Mother’s Day, we created a phone-free movement that encouraged diners to put their phones down and reconnect with their moms over a meal. While other brands were talking about presents, we talked about being present, getting Open Table back to the headlines and people back to the dinner table.
