Despite Miller Lite growing consideration with Latinos in 2018-19, 2020-21 were threatening a pandemic-driven dip. We set out to course correct through a partnership with reggaeton megastar J Balvin. Well, kind of— we leaned into Miller Lite’s authentic brand by instead sponsoring Jose Osorio Balvín, the human behind J Balvin. “Es Jose Time” showcased Jose’s everyday moments in a relatable Latino setting—bodegas (Latino corner stores)—and redesigned our pints into coveted collectibles. Latino consideration grew in 2022 (along with overall Latino share) while pint retail display orders almost doubled.
