SUMMARY
April 1st was National Burrito Day, and like every Mexican restaurant, El Pollo Loco wanted to drive sales with discounted burritos.
Unfortunately, National Burrito Day was one of the countless marketing-created holidays that nobody actually celebrates or cares about.
In order to avoid an eye-roll from our audience, we had to wink, and pretend to take the holiday seriously. Very seriously.
Leaning into the pomp and circumstance befitting traditional holidays, we helped EPL make National Burrito Day worth celebrating, all while driving the highest sales day in company history.
