SUMMARY
Every day in America, thousands of kids miss school because they lack clean clothes. Whirlpool created the Care Counts program to install washers and dryers into schools across America to address the problem. In participating schools, truancy decreased, with teachers reporting attendance rates consistently over 90%, as well as increased parental involvement. Today, Whirlpool has received more than 2,000 program requests and expanded to more than 80 schools in 15 cities.
