SUMMARY
This campaign played a significant role in delivering an increase in participation in the 2019 European Elections where, despite a fractious political environment and indicators of disillusion, voting numbers grew for the first time in 40 years and young voter turnout rose 50%. A highly emotional video showing women giving birth on the eve of the elections, demonstrating hope and the ability to choose a better future, reached Europeans citizens via many media channels. Campaign recall was 44% and people who had seen it were more likely to have voted.
