Kids Help Phone had to increase awareness of the invisible youth mental health crisis in Canada amongst adults. Doing so required subverting the false distinction between ‘youth’ and ‘adult’ mental health – showing that Grown-up Problems Aren’t Just for Grown-ups. The campaign shifted adult Canadians’ mindsets; 74% of adults say the campaign increased their awareness of youth mental health as an important issue in Canada, and 71% said it made the challenges faced by youth more relevant to them.
