Kraft Singles was taking a hit from fancy cheeses. To reclaim attention for what makes our OG, American Cheese, special, we went head to head with the competition. Our audience’s preference for hip hop unlocked the perfect, culturally relevant forum for an aggressive takedown: Battle Rap. By partnering with an influential voice in the social battle rap space, illmac, we challenged fancy cheese in a full-scale rap battle and won. In addition to millions of views, we saw an impressive three weeks of dollar sales growth and increased sales velocities.
