This is the story of how Bulwark FR, the world's leading manufacturer of flame-resistant apparel, transformed a PR crisis not of its making into a timely opportunity to renew its Pledge of Allegiance to the primary (and, at the time, very pissed off) industry it serves – oil & gas. By using July 4, the official announcement date of Bulwark's sale, as a reason to declare our independence and "freedom to serve oil & gas at full power," we turned an angry mob of boycotters back into big believers.
