COVID-19’s crisis
brought UAE to a standstill.
While it wasn’t the time to talk about Emirates NBD’s brand purpose around “prosperity”, it was an opportunity to make Emirates NBD walk the talk.
With people’s most basic needs were compromised, life became about surviving vs. thriving.
A leading bank that’d made money off people, needed to help.
So, pivoting to solving vs. selling, we activated the bank’s purpose through giving people opportunities they needed to thrive during COVID-19.
And while the category declined, Emirates NBD stayed visible, meaningful and grew effectively.
