SUMMARY
The routine of buying dog food can become a rut. So, we disrupted this routine with The Doggie Days of Summer. This program leveraged shoppers’ openness to trying new things during summer to shake them out of autopilot and get them to explore our brands at Walmart. Identifying 3 custom pet parent segments, we matched and targeted each with the brand that best meets their unique needs. By summer’s end, we grew both conversion and trips for JMS brands and for the category at Walmart—results that really got tails wagging.
