Effie Collegiate U.S. Introduces 2020 Brand Challenge with IBM
Modeled after the Effie Awards United States competition, the Effie Collegiate program provides students with an opportunity to research, ideate, and execute comprehensive marketing communications plans to address professional-level marketing challenges for established brands.
For the 2020 brand challenge, IBM will invite college students across the U.S. to develop a non-traditional integrated marketing campaign focused on IBM and The Weather Channel app, the world's most downloaded weather app. The campaign should drive relevance for the IBM brand and showcase the interesting and surprising ways that IBM and The Weather Channel (an IBM Business) affect consumers' daily lives. The competition is open to students currently enrolled full/part-time at accredited educational institutions, including undergraduate/graduate students, and those enrolled in portfolio programs and online courses. Entries may be submitted by teams of two to four individuals.
Entries will be judged by industry professionals with a diverse set experiences across client, agency, and media companies.
The entry deadline is April 2, 2020.

The 2020 competition marks Ten Years of Effie Collegiate! Since the inaugural challenge in 2009, the competition has featured challenges from Subaru, IBM, V8, Pace, Kleenex, Target, U by Kotex, MINI, and HEINEKEN.
