In a world increasingly focused on less, H&R Block set out to demonstrate its commitment to delivering MORE. They journeyed to a small town in Tennessee with a simple mission: Re-look at everyones previous tax returns to see if they could find extra money that was previously missed. These events were captured on film and the end result was a powerful campaign that gave H&R Block its best results in 10 years and proved to America that when it comes to their tax refund, they should never settle for less.

Life Well Planned campaign
Our objectives were to raise unaided awareness and site traffic of prospects to facilitate face-to-face meetings, as well as to shore up key perceptions of Raymond James by advisors to encourage retention and referral. So in a dark economic environment, we set about looking for ways to tell the Raymond James story of practicality in a time of excess through tales of financial pragmatism that humanized both the brand and the consumer. Simply put, we accomplished everything we set out to achieve and enjoyed a few surprises along the way. Unaided awareness, site visits and advisor perception all dramatically increased.

Big-box stores have Black Friday. Online mega-sites have Cyber Monday. American Express OPEN thought small, independent business owners should have their own day, too. So, they created one. On November 27, 2010, Small Business Saturday (SBS) launched with a rallying cry of Shop Small. Mayors and governors across America officially adopted the day. And, consumers embraced it in a big way, too, pouring millions of dollars into small businesses over the most important shopping weekend of the year. American Express shop owners scored double-digit sales increases. Suddenly, small business was anything but small.
