    Congrats to the 2019 Subaru Brand Challenge Finalists!

Each year, student teams compete to provide a solution to a marketing challenge presented by established organizations – their “clients”. 

Since the inaugural challenge in 2009, the competition has featured challenges from Subaru, IBM, V8, Pace, Target, U by Kotex, MINI, and HEINEKEN.

The competition culminates with selected finalists pitching their ideas in-person to the brand.  

Stay tuned for more information on the 2020 competition, to be announced Fall 2019.

Subaru Brand Challenge Winner & Runner-Up Announced

 
On May 22, the two teams selected as finalists in the Subaru Brand Challenge presented their ideas to senior members of the Subaru and Carmichael Lynch teams at Subaru’s HQ in Camden, NJ.
 
After much deliberation, the following placements were awarded:
 
Winner: “Team Subaru” by Brigham Young University
Katie Nydegger (Acct Manager/Planner), Cera Pack (Copywriter), Cameryn Rupa (Acct Manager), Tanner Todd (Art Director)
Kevin Kelly, Faculty Advisor, School of Comms
 
Runner-Up: “Subaru Loves Driving Innovation” by Kent State University
Ashley Heilman (Acct Planner), Noah Lewchenko (Research), Abigail Peters (Written Creative), Kelsey Velemirovich (Visual Creative)
Wendy Wardell, Professor, JMC/Advertising
 
Both teams received generous monetary prizes from Subaru. Congratulations and great job to this year’s winners!
