SUMMARY
In 2022, the world’s most famous burger brand, late to the chicken sandwich party, introduced its new McCrispy sandwich and put the competition on notice. Without stooping to the level of the “Chicken Wars” online or going head to head with the incumbent chicken specialists, we grew chicken sandwich servings by +9% (YoY), resulting in a +2.4% gain in share of chicken (YoY) in Q4 2022. Best of all, we successfully established our sandwich as a modern classic - and did it the McDonald’s way.
