SUMMARY
Abused women are so closely monitored by their partners that reaching them is almost impossible. For 4 years, we found discreet ways to get women the lifesaving information they need to leave – through tampons, a decoy lifestyle blog, and in grocery stores during lockdown. The success of each year’s efforts built on the last, resulting in an 805% increase in outreach in the first year, then an 85% increase over that, and a 16% increase over that. And most importantly, no abuser ever found out about it.
