The 'Traditional Thrift' Mold
To circumvent the branch system and increase loan originations, the Bank introduced "Teleloan," a computer-drive service that enables quick loan processing over the phone. The system can approve or reject about 75% of its phone-in consumer loan applications within 15 minutes compared to the more typical 24 hours. The creative strategy behind Teleloan was to convince the targets that they can now get their loan over in the phone in as little as 15 minutes. Perpetual's Teleloan campaign has produced exceptional results: 66% increase in average number of applicants: 57% increase in loan volume.
